5 Exciting Features Coming to Instagram
Organic reach feels like it’s down, views on reels feel like their down. You may be ready to throw the towel in on Instagram all together. We get it, it can be frustrating. When we heard about some of these exciting features supposedly coming to Instagram we couldn’t help but share them because they are pretty exciting.
1. Schedule DM’s
As you know a big part of success on Instagram is engaging with your audience. You’ll soon be able to schedule your DM’s. You’ll type out your message and hold down on the send button to schedule. This is great because it allows you to really take your followers on a journey. Maybe you have different things that you want to say on particular days or you want to send a DM to remind your followers about an event coming up. This is a game changer in allowing you to do things like that.
2. Edit Grid Posts
Coming soon is another fun feature. You’ll be able to rearrange your profile grid. This is great because it will allow you to stick your most popular posts at the top. You know that your audience resonates with it so you want it to have a prominent spot on your page. Also if you’re more concerned about the aesthetic of your page, this will help with that as well.
3. Discover New Profiles
Instagram is going to be testing out two new feeds for suggested content. “Because you follow” and “Instagram suggested.” This is exciting because this will get your profile in front of more people and can potentially help your page grow! This is also why creating content that is tailored to your niche is so important as well.
4. Community Chat
Instagram is basically creating “Facebook groups” for Instagram through this Community Chat. You can add up to 250 people in a chat. This would be really great to be able to talk about events, or product launches that you have. It is also great to create a chat that is for “super fans” that you really want to make sure is seeing your content.
5. Archiving Highlights
I’ll be honest, this one isn’t as exciting as the other ones but could be useful. Instead of deleting your highlights category completely you can archive it and bring it back anytime you’d like. Maybe you’re not as busy with events in the WInter like you are in the Summer so you want to archive your Events highlight, this could definitely come in handy. If you aren’t able to update a highlight category consistently then archiving it would definitely be the thing that you’d want to do.
Conclusion
The thing about new features being added to Instagram is you never know when you will actually get them. They typically do a slow roll out so some accounts will have access to them before other accounts. Either way, if you’re not looking forward to learning how to use new features or tools, no worries, that’s what we’re here for. Schedule a discovery call with our CEO, Brian Curee.
